Finn now teaches Band and Music Exploration at the Los Alamos Middle School in Los Alamos, NM.
He recently moved back to the Northern New Mexico area after seven years teaching and performing music on the island-nation of St. Lucia in the West Indies.
While in St. Lucia, Finn taught band, orchestra, jazz band, music theory, and private wind lessons at the St. Lucia School of Music. He also taught a steel pan orchestra at the Entrepot Secondary School for two years.
In 2011, he spearheaded the creation of the "Manmay-La Di Wai" project, a social inclusion orchestra program in poverty stricken communities modeled after the ‘El Sistema’ program in Venezuela. This program has since taken off, now consisting of four youth orchestras and choirs involving almost 200 children.
Finn makes frequent appearances in both New Mexico band camps as well as workshops in the Caribbean. In January 2011, he lead a group of St. Lucian's to Kingston, Jamaica to participate in an OAS funded workshop organized by the Jamaica National Youth Orchestra.
Finn is always available for tutoring private lessons and group classes on all wind instruments.
