|Having recently completed his debut album, Calypso ala Buster, Finn enjoys leading his new group in Santa Fe, New Mexico - The Ryan Finn Quartet. The music
incorporates calypso, salsa, bossa, samba, and other caribbean elements
within a jazz context. Playing with him are: Robin Holloway - piano, Andy Zadrozny - bass, and Arnaldo Costa - drums.|

Finn recently arrived back from a quick St. Lucian tour where he performed with the Allison Marquis Nonet featuring Andy Narell. While on the island, he performed with his own group, GrooveBone, at the Jazz on the Grill series at the Fire Grill Restaraunt and Bar. He also had the opportunity to work with other St. Lucian musicians including Luther Francois, Emerson Nurse, and Ken Hardy.
Over the years in St. Lucia, Finn performed with St. Lucian jazz icons Luther Francois, Emerson Nurse, Allison Marquis, and Ricardo Francois on a regular basis. His work led him to play alongside Barbara Cadet, Ronald ‘Boo’ Hinkson, and Rob 'Zi' Taylor. On Rob's recent album, Destiny, Finn had the opportunity to record on the track, Gal Groove Me.
After graduating from Los Alamos High School in 2000, Finn moved to New Orleans, Louisiana where he studied music education at Loyola University – New Orleans. While in New Orleans, he had the opportunity to perform with many great jazz musicians. A few of those he performed with are: Tony ‘Oulabula’ Bazley, Dave Liebman, Randy Brecker, Wyclef Gordon, John Mahoney, Johnny Vidocavich, Tony Dagradi, New Orleans Jazz Vipers, Troy Andrews (a.k.a. Trombone Shorty), and Big Sam’s Funky Nation. Finn played regularly around the city as well as at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.
In the last few months, Finn has performed with many local musicians in the Santa Fe area including: the Three Faces of Jazz, Andy Kingston, Pat Malone, Arlen Asher, Jan McDonald, Chris Ishee, Russell Scharf, Kanoa Kaluhiwa, John Trentacosta, Chief Sanchez, the Pleasure Pilots, Laura Clark, Robin Holloway, Mikey Chavez, Mark Clarke, and more.
